Animals Fiji is currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for various accounting, bookkeeping, and financial tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate accounting records and documents
- Prepare bank deposits and reconcile statements
- Enter financial transactions into the database on a daily basis
- Provide support to company personnel and assist with inquiries
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and issues
- Generate reports and summaries for management
- Adhere to established standards, procedures, and regulations
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes
Requirements:
- Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or Accounts Payable Clerk
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Drive, and accounting software (Xero preferred)
- Strong skills in spreadsheet management and financial reporting
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent numerical aptitude
- Ability to handle filing and record-keeping tasks
- Proficient in data entry and word processing
- Strong organizational skills
- High school graduate, with an associate's degree or relevant certification as a plus

Animals Fiji, a Fiji registered charity & USA 501(c)3 registered charity, is currently the only veterinary animal welfare organization in the Western and Northern Divisions and relies on donations to function as it receives zero government funding. We need your support.
Our Animals Fiji Nadi Clinic has been operating since July 2012 and in early 2016 secured a permanent home in the Nasoso area of Nadi. We have two full-time Veterinarians on staff and are open 6 days a week. This is our largest clinic and operates as our head office as well as we have our shelter.
