Analyst Programmer Contract Job

Our role is to regulate the issue of currency, and the supply availability and international exchange of money; promote monetary stability, promote a sound financial structure, foster credit and exchange conditions conducive to the orderly an balanced economic development of the country, to regular the insurance industry and to regulate the capital markets and securities industry.  We are seeking the services of experienced and motivated individuals who will be able to work as part of a dynamic Team and invite applications for the following positions.

This position reports to the Manager Information Technology, Currency & Corporate Services Group. The successful candidate will be required to design, develop, implement, and support internally developed and off-the-shelf software. This role also entails an opportunity to work on projects that are of national interest, in the vision to leading Fiji to economic success.   The successful candidate must possess at least a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field with at least 3 years of work experience in application development. Mandatory requirements include development experience of enterprise-grade web applications using agile methods. Other technical skills include proficiency in the use of MS SQL Server, development with ASP.Net/ASP.Net Core Frameworks for Console, Desktop, and Web Applications (MVC or Web Forms), IIS web app hosting, Visual Studio IDE, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, Ajax, Bootstrap, Source Control with Azure DevOps Server and GIT, Reports building with SSRS and Power BI, database design, development and fine-tuning. Knowledge of containerized applications and configuring/developing for Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Azure, and Technical certifications would be an advantage.    Besides technical capabilities, candidates must also possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and presentation skills. Other desirable skills include the ability to work under minimum supervision, effective communication, and teamwork.
