Assistant Operations Accountant Full-time Job

Viti Foods Pte Limited is a subsidiary of CJ Patel Group of Companies and we specialize in manufacturing canned tuna and mackerel products for local and export markets. We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced Assistant Operations Accountant to be based in our Finance department in Laucala Beach Estate, Suva.

Key Responsibilities:

This position reports to the Financial Accountant and will be involved in a variety of activities including but not limited to:

• Carry out costing evaluation and margin analysis and prepare reports
• Coordinate monthly, weekly, and daily stocktakes and ensure timely posting in the system
• Analysis of departmental expenditure against budget conducted and improvement initiatives ensured
• Ensure daily raw material usage variance analysis
• Manage Finance SOP's and accurate preparation of Ad-hoc reports
• Management of accounts receivable ensured including intercompany transaction reconciliations
• Organize and coordinate effective write-offs within agreed timelines
• Reconciliations, schedules, and registers managed on a timely accurate basis 

Position Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting/Finance/HR or related field
• Degree in Accounting and Finance with at least 3 years of working experience in a similar role
• Computer literate with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Good knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and ledgers
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical and problem-solving skills   Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
• Strong written and oral communication skills
