The Pearl Resort, Spa & Golf Course is located in Pacific Harbour. The resort features 210 rooms, a range of food and beverage outlets, a conference centre for up to 300 people, and two purpose-built boardrooms.
We’re looking for a dynamic Conference & Events Manager. Reporting to the Resort Manager, this fast-paced role is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Conference & Events. This is a great opportunity for an event-focused hospitality professional.
About the Role
As the Conference & Events Manager, you will be managing the day-to-day operations of the department and leading the team in service delivery.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Own & manage Conference operations.
- Familiarising yourself with exclusive events and guests to ensure their requests and needs are met.
- Liaising and collaborating with departments across the Resort to ensure seamless events.
- Preparing invoices and accounts to ensure accurate charges are posted and ensuring revenue is accounted for.
- Develop, review & implement best practice procedures.
- Provide reports to management.
- Provide effective communication & updates across the team and management.
- Assist in the implementation of strategic objectives.
- Manage and assist all events; conferences, meetings,and promotions.
- Liaise with Clients to offer a unique & personalised experience for all conference guests.
- Carry out in site visits, plan meetings, and pre-conference meetings.
- A minimum of two years experience in a similar of management position
