Cyber Security Monitoring Agent Full-time Job

Pepper Advantage Hub (Fiji) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Cyber Security Monitoring Agent. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing security events and incidents to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of our organization's information assets. You will work closely with senior security analysts and administrators to detect, investigate, and respond to potential security threats.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security events and alerts generated by various security systems and tools.
• Analyse security logs and data to identify potential security incidents or breaches.
• Conduct preliminary investigations to determine the nature and severity of security incidents.
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security monitoring tools and technologies.
• Collaborate with senior security analysts to develop and implement incident response plans.
• Provide timely and accurate reports on security incidents and their impact to management and stakeholders.
• Follow established procedures for incident response, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques in cyber security and threat intelligence.
• Participate in security incident handling and coordination with external stakeholders, if necessary.
• Assist in the development and delivery of security awareness training programs for employees.
• Other ad-hoc tasks

Skills and experience required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies.
• Familiarity with common security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and SIEM tools.
• Basic understanding of malware analysis and incident response procedures.
• Knowledge in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is desirable.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Relevant certifications such as Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are a plus.
