We are looking for a; - Delivery Driver – Group 1 License

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced personnel for the above position reporting to the company secretary and be based at Dabea Rd, Valelevu.

 

1.     Education & Experience.

1.1.  Hands-on experience with driving a motorbike or any group 1 vehicle.

1.2.  A Full/Provisional and Valid Republic of Fiji Driver License.

1.3.  Ability to communicate in Oral and Written English.

2.     Primary Responsibilities.

Primary responsibilities include;

  • Safe and timely delivery: Ensure the safe and timely delivery of products to customers, adhering to delivery schedules and routes while following all traffic regulations.
  • Customer communication: Act as the primary point of contact for customers during deliveries, providing exceptional customer service, answering any questions, and addressing concerns. Maintain a friendly, professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
  • Vehicle maintenance: Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of the two or three-wheeler vehicle to ensure its proper functioning and safety. Report any issues or necessary repairs to the supervisor or designated team member.
  • Order accuracy: Verify the accuracy of orders before and during delivery, ensuring that customers receive the correct items and that the delivery process goes smoothly.
  • GPS navigation: Utilize GPS or other navigation tools to efficiently find customer locations and plan the most effective routes.
  • Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including customer signatures, delivery times, and any issues encountered during the delivery process.
  • Issue resolution: Communicate with the supervisor or customer service team to resolve any delivery-related issues or discrepancies, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Adherence to company policies: Follow all company policies, procedures, and guidelines, including those related to safety, security, and customer service.
  • Team collaboration: Collaborate with other team members and participate in meetings, contributing to the overall success of the company.
  • Continuous improvement: Stay informed about industry best practices and company updates to improve personal performance and contribute to the success of the delivery team.

 

3.     Secondary Responsibilities.

  • Backup support: Provide backup support to other delivery drivers as needed, ensuring uninterrupted service to customers during peak times, vacations, or sick days.
  • Inventory management: Assist with loading and unloading of products at the warehouse, and help with inventory management tasks such as stock counts and organization when necessary.
  • Reporting feedback: Share feedback from customers and observations from the field with the management team to help improve the overall customer experience and delivery processes.
  • Product knowledge: Maintain a strong understanding of the company's products and services to answer customer inquiries effectively and offer appropriate recommendations.
  • Training and development: Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance job performance and stay current on company policies, procedures, and industry trends.
  • Cross-functional support: Assist other departments within the company, such as customer service or sales, when needed, to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Marketing and promotions: Support the company's marketing and promotional efforts by distributing flyers, brochures, or other materials during deliveries, as requested.
  • Emergency response: Be prepared to handle emergency situations during deliveries, such as vehicle breakdowns or accidents, by following company protocols and communicating with the appropriate personnel.
  • Payment collection: Collect payments from customers when necessary, ensuring the accurate recording of transactions and submission of receipts.
  • Community engagement: Represent the company positively at community events or gatherings when applicable, fostering strong relationships with customers and the local community.

 

4.     Key Competencies.

Safe driving skills, customer service orientation, time management, communication skills, adaptability, and flexibility, navigation skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, teamwork and collaboration, physical stamina and endurance, professionalism

 

5.     Successful Applicant.

Will need to provide;

5.1.  A Fiji Police Clearance.

5.2.  Previous Employer References.

5.3.  A Medical Report from a Medical Practitioner.

5.4.  An FRCS Tax Clearance or Tax Paid Certificate/ Exemption Certificate.

5.5.  A Covid-19 Double Vaccinated & Booster injection Vaccination Certificate.
