Engineering Supervisor Full-time Job

Alfa Pte Limited is a subsidiary of CJ Patel Group that manufactures hygiene and consumer products for Fiji and international markets such as Pacific Laundry Bar, Malumu tissues, and Stelow and also holds the manufacturing license for world-renowned international brand Janola. We are looking for a suitable candidate for the position of Engineering Supervisor to be based in Lami.

Job Responsibilities:

This position reports to the Factory Manager and will be involved in a variety of activities including but not limited to:

• Supervise and direct Production Engineering Team on day-to-day activities relating to mechanical and electrical components in the factory
• Coordinate maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special service to ensure machines and equipment are operational and downtime is minimized.
• Establish standards and work with maintenances personnel to resolve problems related to process, tooling, equipment, etc.
• Provide project management support for major systems and equipment installations in the factory
• Perform technical analysis and provide technical input on manufacturing processes to support management decisions
• Prepare and execute preventative maintenance schedule for machines and equipment
• Assist in developing and maintaining department capital and expense budgets
• Provide training and development for direct reports

  Key Requirements:

• Relevant technical qualification from a recognized institute with a minimum of three years’ experience of supervisory level experience in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of troubleshooting automation equipment with the ability to read and interpret product, tool detail and assembly drawings
• Hands on experience in developing and implementing successful preventative maintenance program
• Computer literate with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to coordinate the activities within the team comprised of diverse tasks and demanding schedules 
• Strong leadership skills and take lead on continuous improvement projects
