The Opportunity

The purpose of this position is to provide financial and Procurement support to Commercial operations through Accountant Commercial Operations and will include Financial Reporting and Reconciliation, Creditor payments, Receiving and reconciling of invoices against respective purchase orders, request for E-quote, organize for EOI,RFQ and RFT, organize for bid opening meeting and circulate minutes, Reconciliation of end of month ledgers, Revenue reconciliation of different business units and ensure that it’s in line with banner posting, Vehicle co-ordination, Maintaining manual order book, keeping track of audit and OHS issues, Inventory control, end of day balancing, petty cash and process improvement.

Reporting to Accountant Commercial Operations, the Finance and Procurement Assistant will process and receive all commercial units invoices, batch, reconcile and process for payments, maintain creditors ledger, prepare monthly VAT returns, follow up with vendor invoices, reconcile open purchase orders, summarize quotations and submit for approval process, organize for Purchase orders, liaise with vendor on the progress of the purchase order, process credit notes, end of day shift reconciliation, banking, inventory checks, process improvement, assist internal and external auditors and assist is annual and bi- annual stock-take. The appointee will need to be able to meet strict deadlines across a number of task areas.

The Person we Seek

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

  • Completion of a degree in Accounting/Financial Management or related subjects without subsequent relevant work experience
  • be highly competent with MYOB, Booknet, Banner and other computerized accounting systems including spreadsheet applications and other MS Office application software
  • Working in a computerized General Ledger environment
  • Managing multiple activities within tight deadlines
  • Have excellent knowledge of large organization procurement process
  • Knowledge of import /export procedures

The position is available for a term of 3 years and may be renewed by mutual agreement.

Salary Range

  • FJ $23,332.36 to FJ $29,462.56 per annum.
