Fitter Machinist Full-time Job

Southern Cross Foods Pte Limited is a food manufacturing entity of CJ Patel Group of Companies. We specialize in the production of noodles, extruded snacks and confectionery for Fiji and International markets and are co-manufacturers for Nestle. We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced Fitter Machinist to be based in Ba.

FITTER MACHINIST

 Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose faults and perform operational maintenance on machines including fitting and assembling fabricated metal parts into machines and equipment.
• Dismantle faulty tools and assemblies and repair or replace defective parts.
• Examine studying drawings and specifications to determine suitable material, method and sequence of operations and machine settings
• Set up and/or operate hand and machine tools, welding equipment etc.
• Check the accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools, or sub-assemblies
• Conduct preventive maintenance of plant & equipment as per program and complete relevant records.

Qualification, Knowledge, and Skills

• A Trade Certificate or Diploma in Fitting & Machining / equivalent qualification.
• At least 2 years of experience in a food manufacturing plant will be an added advantage.
• Aware of workplace health and safety regulations.
• Have the drive, energy, and personality to work as part of a team.
• Able to work with minimum supervision and on a shift basis
