IT Officer Full-time Job

Location: Suva, Fiji.

Remuneration: Salary range of $22,000 -  $27,500 to commensurate with experience and qualification.

The Company and the Role

TKW Research Group is one of Australia’s largest and most respected market research companies and
needs to appoint an IT Officer to help support its growth.

We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable junior IT technician to join our team. The successful
candidate will assist in maintaining, installing and troubleshooting our contact centre’s desktops,
network and other related technical equipment. This role is perfect for someone who has basic to midlevel experience in IT support and is eager to develop their skills in a supportive and dynamic
environment.

What you would be accountable for:

Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues our contact centre’s users encounter
Manage the configuration and operation of client-based computer operating systems
Monitor the system daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns
Install, test and troubleshoot computer and network hardware and peripheral components
such as PCs, monitors, keyboards, printers and other equipment
Assist in the development and enhancement of IT systems
Troubleshoot networking and connection issues
Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure efficient operations
Update systems as needed
Create and manage technical documentation
Respond to and resolve help desk requests.

What you will need:

Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
1 – 3 years’ experience in a similar role or relevant work experience
Basic to mid-level knowledge in troubleshooting and providing help desk support
Advanced Microsoft Excel & Word skills
Possess high energy, drive and be capable of forging strong professional relationships
Be customer service oriented and deal diplomatically with clients at all times
Excellent problem-solving skills
Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks
Ability to work well in a team and independently.

Working Conditions:

This role will require the incumbent to work in a centre environment. Some after-hours work may be
required to minimize disruption during system upgrades and fixes.
