Nathan is implementing the USAID Digital Connectivity and Cybersecurity Partnership (DCCP)-Pacific Activity, a 5-year Activity across 12 Pacific Island Countries and headquartered in Suva, Fiji. DCCP- Pacific seeks to improve digital access and connectivity and support the efficient delivery and use of digital services throughout Pacific Island Countries. DCCP seeks to improve the digital ecosystem by (1) improving broadband access, resulting in more secure and affordable services; (2) amplifying successful public-private initiatives, resulting in a strengthened regulatory and legal framework for regional alignment; (3) advancing digital government services; and (4) enhancing essential digital skills of civil servants, officials, and citizens, supporting the next generation of ICT specialists.

Nathan is seeking qualified candidates for a Logistics and Workshop Coordinator on the project. The Coordinator is responsible for leading all procurement and logistics tasks, including internal project management operations and Activity-supported workshop, training and other events with Pacific Island partners and counterparts, as well as general operational tasks.

The Logistics and Workshop Coordinator will be based in Suva, Fiji for four years, with an option fifth year extension.

The position may require travel to any of the 12 Pacific Island Countries covered under the Activity, including the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Palau, Papua New Guinea (PNG), Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI), Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu.

KEY RESPOSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate with staff to lead all internal and external procurement and logistics tasks related to Activity operations and development assistance activities;
  • Conduct vendor and market surveys;
  • Draft and issue solicitations, and manage all bid evaluation and vender selection processes;
  • Ensure activity venues are suitable and prepared to host Activity-supported workshops, training, and other events;
  • Ensure travel and accommodation arrangements are prepared and support activities;
  • Provide on-site & virtual logistical support during events, as required.  
  • Manage all procurement-related documentation and draft memos clearly stating how the Activity adheres to USAID and Nathan procurement rules, regulations, and protocols.

The position reports to the Finance Manager, under the supervision of the Deputy Chief of Party and will work closely with the project leadership and technical managers. 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Professional written and spoken English;
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent professional experience in logistics, project management, or related field;
  • Two or more years of experience managing operations and logistics for donor-funded projects required; USAID experience preferred;
  • Experience coordinating donor-funded activities preferred;
  • Knowledgeable about virtual event platforms (I.e., Zoom, Webex, MS Teams);
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to carry out tasks independently and efficiently;
  • Pacific Islands citizenship required, with ability to live and work in Fiji ; and
  • Ability to travel regionally.
