We are offering an exciting employment opportunity for the position of MANAGER ICT to be based at our Head Office in Wailada, Lami.

The ICT Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing HBK’s ICT service delivery and IT Infrastructure across all worksites. This includes specific responsibility for providing technical and operational support to staff with a focus on excellent customer service. The Manager will be responsible for implementing cost recovery of IT services, managing the customer service relationship with internal and external stakeholders, identifying and making use of opportunities for outsourcing and ensuring the team meets its business reporting obligations. He/She also needs to have expert knowledge of the industry’s best practices and stay up-to-date with advances.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • · Manage information technology and computer systems
  • · Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
  • · Manage staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance
  • · Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures
  • · Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
  • · Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy
  • · Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time
  • · Audit systems and assess their outcomes
  • · Preserve assets, information security and control structures
  • · Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness
  • · Requirements and skills
  • · Proven working experience as an ICT Manager or relevant experience
  • · Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
  • · Expertise in data center management and data governance
  • · Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation

 

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & ABILITY:

  • · Supervising daily operations of network and server infrastructure
  • · Aligning IT infrastructure with current and future business requirements and goals
  • · Managing IT budgets, forecast, handling cash flow and enforcing cost-effectiveness
  • · Evaluating risk, developing network recovery and backup processes
  • · Assessing and purchasing new and replacement hardware
  • · Assuring that IT activities are within the limits of applicable laws, codes and regulations
  • · Testing, troubleshooting and adjusting information systems to operate effectively
  • · Implementing security of the network, data and its storage and communication systems.
  • · Lead projects, including design, develop and deployment of new ICT systems and services.
  • · Monitor performance of ICT systems to determine cost and productivity levels and to make recommendations for improving the ICT structure.
  • · Help define ICT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes.
  • · Analyze business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the company to develop solutions for ICT needs.
  • · Assess vendors and develop test strategies for new hardware and software.
  • · Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal ICT.
  • · Handle all formal communication from the Management to all staff and external parties, if needed.
  • · Be visionary, think analytically, contribute meaningfully to strategic planning and demonstrate consistent and innovative practices.
  • · Experience in leading and managing projects and rolling out ICT infrastructure across various technologies.
  • · Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems and phone systems.
  • · Strong, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • · Excellent project management skills.
  • · An exemplary communicator and be visionary.
  • · Adaptable, flexible and capable of high-level facilitation, negotiation and communication skills

REQUIREMENTS:

  • · A Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field or equivalent.
  • · 3 – 5 years of experience working in ICT operations.
  • Class 2 Drivers License
