Manager- Risk, Compliance & Insurance Full-time Job

We are currently looking for a Manager- Risk, Compliance & Insurance to join our corporate team based in Lami. The primary objective of the department is to add value and improve overall Group operations through bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, compliance and governance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

The position holder reports to the General Manager Corporate, Finance and Risk and will be involved in a variety of activities including but not limited to:

• Manage risk, insurance and compliance related polices, framework and reporting for C.J Patel Group on an ongoing basis.
• Carry out our risk mapping and review and develop ERM policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOP) ensure optimal operational continuity at all times.
• Conduct quarterly/annual risk assessment and review audit from time to time to ensure systems and procedures are in place across the group.
• Maintain risk register for the Group updated quarterly and follow through with mitigation of identified risks.
• Implementation of Business Continuity and Disaster recovery plans across entities.
• Claim management and follow up for disbursal with brokers and Insurance providers Develop and manage prudent Insurance coverage plan for all group assets, other perils and staff medical insurance.
• Lead and manage insurance, certification, and license renewals for the Group.
• Ensuring business practice and decisions are ethical and aligned to organizational policies and adhering to corporate governance standards.

 Qualifications Skills and Experience 

The successful incumbent(s) must have at least a degree or higher tertiary qualification in the relevant field from a recognized institution with minimum 5 years of experience in a similar capacity managing risk, compliance, and insurance portfolio for a diverse Group of Companies. Applicant must possess excellent communications skills, analytical and report writing skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
