JOB DESCRIPTION & SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Meat Processing Plant Supervisor
The above position will be based in our Meat Processing Plant located at Tovata, Nasinu and directly reports to our Plant Manager.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Planning of meat processing according to chicken harvesting dates
- Planning and coordination of logistics with Farm Operations Manager for chicken processing
- Overseeing overall meat processing with quality frozen chickens being supplied to end consumers
- Ensuring that Halal requirements are being met at all times
- General supervision of employee’s and line QC’s
- Monitoring and maintaining sufficient stock level of packaging materials
- Verification of all incoming and outgoing stocks
- Planning of shift work
- Maintaining quality and food safety standards
- Submitting of processing reports
Key Competency Requirements:
- Relevant qualification in Meat processing or Food technology
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Results oriented
- Ability to perform shift work
- Work under minimum supervision
