Mechanical Fitter Full-time Job

Southern Cross Foods Pte Limited is a food manufacturing entity of CJ Patel Group of Companies. We specialise in production of noodles, extruded snacks and confectionery for Fiji and International markets and a co-manufacturer for Nestle. We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced Mechanical Fitter to be part of the Engineering Team based at our Factory in Ba.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose faults and perform operational maintenance on machines including fitting and assembling fabricated metal parts into machines and equipment.
• Dismantle faulty tools and assemblies and repair or replace defective parts.
• Examine studying drawings and specifications to determine suitable material, method and sequence of operations and machine settings.
• Set up and/or operate hand and machine tools, welding equipment etc.
• Check accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools or sub-assemblies.
• Conduct preventive maintenance of plant & equipment as per program and complete relevant records.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Trade certificate or Diploma in Fitting & Machining or at least two years’ working experience in a food manufacturing plant in a similar role.
• Aware of workplace health and safety regulations.
• Have the drive, energy and personality to work as part of a team
• Able to work on shift basis
