Production Manager Full-time Job

Southern Cross Foods Pte Limited is a food manufacturing entity of CJ Patel Group of Companies. We specialize in the production of noodles, extruded snacks and confectionery for Fiji and International markets and are co-manufacturers for Nestle. We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experiencedProduction Manager to be based in Ba.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the production process ensuring production efficiency levels and quality standards are achieved.
• Prepare and provide plans for daily, weekly, and monthly production according to the order and forecasts.
• Ensure strict compliance with Food Safety/quality standards and production specifications.
• Implement corrective actions to address deviations from quality standards.
• Collaborate with the logistics team to coordinate material deliveries.
• Support initiatives such as value-added production and new product development
• Review department performance ensuring achievement of all departmental key objectives including cost, quality, customer service, sanitation, safety, and environment.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
• Report production metrics and challenges to upper management regularly.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
• Control shift inventory for accurate and effective shop order processing.
• Schedule resources across several functions, prepare manpower plans and guide and train staff.
• Assist and participate actively in internal and external Food Safety Audits.

 Qualification, Knowledge, and Skills

• Degree or relevant tertiary qualification in science/engineering, manufacturing or a related field.
• Proven experience in food production in a similar capacity
• Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, root cause analysis, production planning (GMP), HACCP and Food Safety Management
• Able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent analytical, communication and report writing skills.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible in approach to working hours.
