What is the job?
Reporting to the Recreations/Kids Club Manager, the Recreations Attendant plays an integral role to support the Kids Club & Recreations teams and the wider hotel team. To host adult guests of the Resort with indoors, outdoors excursions and cultural activities.
Your day to day
- Assist kids club in terms of hosting kids activities.
- Complete special instruction concerning work sheets and correctly record when the work has been completed.
- Manage the sale and promotion of departmental products and services.
- Hosts every activity that's conducted indoors and outdoors.
- Assist with the development of new products and services.
- Assist with the evaluation of sales and marketing activities.
- Maintain and control working tools by conducting regular spot checks and monthly stock take.
- Comply with all Hotel and corporate guidelines (e.g. signage guidelines, safety guidelines, etc)·
- Deliver high quality service to guests.
- Adhere to departmental cleaning and maintenance programs.
- When an opportunity arises, introduce yourself to resort guests who might be interested to know the programme advertised and with the facilities and service we provide with the product the department sells.
- Maintain knowledge of the resort policy.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all emergency procedures.
- Ensure guests are well informed of the highlights of the day by caring responsibilities in the distribution of the activities flyer.
We are looking for enthusiastic and professional team members who knows how to deliver great service and exceed guest expectations & provide a high-level of service excellence to our resort guests. The ideal candidate will have:

- Qualification - High School Year 12 pass or Certification in a Tourism/Hospitality course. Current Certification in "Mind That Child" would be an advantage.
- Experience - 1 year experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strength – have to be physically fit, energetic, friendly personality and great with supervising kids. Able to read and write English.
- Flexibility - Availability to work shifts across a 7 day roster including weekends and public holidays.
- Can do attitude – wanting to support your team members and roll up your sleeves.
- Detail - a great eye for detail and looking out for kids' safety & well-being whilst engaged with them.
- Communication skills - are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with others; demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
- Certification in First Aid would be an advantage.
