Revenue Reconciliation Officer Full-time Job

South Sea Cruises Group (SSCG) is Fiji’s most experienced and award-winning cruise operator offering a range of award-winning products and services throughout the stunning Mamanuca & Yasawa Islands. South Sea Cruises operates a modern fleet of fast catamarans, an overnight cruise ship, a modern sailing catamaran, several speed boats, and tender boats as well as Fiji’s two most popular day trip islands.

We are currently seeking to recruit a Revenue Reconciliation Officer to be positioned at our Port Denarau base. This position reports directly to the Assistant Financial Controller.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Check and reconcile the daily F&B revenue from the various outlets against POS system.
• Match the manual sales orders against the POS system and audit the sales order books to ensure that it is running in sequential order.
• Reconcile all sale types i.e., cash/card to ensure that it matches with the daily banking and any sales through the agent vouchers are invoiced accordingly.
• Post sales and receipts where required in the general ledger or POS system.
• Attend to any queries that relate to the outlets.
• Carry out regular audits to ensure that correct F&B sale prices are charged.
• Attend and resolve any discrepancies that have been identified by taking corrective action.
• Attend and resolve any operational and technical issues relating to POS or EFTPOS machines that are reported from the outlets.
• Bi-monthly reconcile all the sales to ensure that it agrees to the system posting and bank statements.
• Assist with check outs for large groups and island buys as and when required.
• Providing training to respective outlet staff as required on sales processing and day end closing.
• Ensures standard internal control processes are in place and are followed by all the outlets.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• The applicant must have a Diploma or higher in accounting from a recognised institution with at least 2 years of experience in a similar position.
• At least 2 years of experience in the tourism industry.
• Competent in using Microsoft excel for data analysis.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced work environment.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Creative thinking skills and ability to solve problems.
