Senior Refrigeration Technician Full-time Job

Iceman (Fiji) Pte Limited is a joint venture company between CJ Patel & Co Pte Ltd and Iceman Goup of companies in Sri Lanka. Iceman is the leader in design and implementation of Refrigeration and Air conditioning equipment for food industry, and our clients include some of the largest cold storage facility and refrigerated trucks in the country. Iceman represents world renowned brands like Incold(Italy), Geneglace (France), Bitzer (Germany) and Heatcraft (Australia) and primarily deals with installation, assembling, selling, and carrying out maintenance on cool rooms, ice plants, freezer trucks and air conditioners.

We are seeking to recruit a highly qualified Senior Refrigeration Technician to take responsibility for testing of solutions that meet our client’s needs and be based in Suva.

SENIOR REFRIGERATION TECHNICIAN

   Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise refrigeration projects ensuring timelines and requirements are met
• Provide and ensure on the job training for junior employees.
• Ensures the Preventive Maintenance Program and maintenance work orders for refrigeration are being performed properly and safely by the technicians.
• Responsible for the safety of the technicians, fabricators, and equipment at the project sites.
• Work with the Maintenance Manager to ensure projects are completed properly and safely.
• Liase directly with contractors to ensure jobs are completed properly and safely per our company policies.
• Responsible for installing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of large, small, and complex heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems and equipment.
• Uses downtime records to help improve efficiencies.
• Ensures all safety programs are adhered to by employees and contractors.
• Maintains training gaps analysis on all employees and keep them updated as required.
• Maintains log records on various equipment, timesheets, green sheets, and scheduled day off records.

Key Requirements:

• Relevant tertiary qualification and must have at least 4 years of hands-on work experience as R&A Technician.
• Gas license will be an added advantage.
• A valid group 2 driving license
• Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
• Flexible in approach to working hours including on-call

Remuneration:
