The Role : Senior Tax Accountant - Suva (Fiji)
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Intermediate and Senior Tax Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be switched on and have the ability to work unsupervised. They will also have tax experience gained within a small/medium sized business.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing individual Tax returns and partnership tax returns, for companies and trust funds
- Completing BAS's and company financials
- Using Quick books and MYOB to prepare financial statements and BAS's
- Drafting and processing outward correspondence;
- Excellent understanding of Handisoft Taxation Software
- An excellent understanding ATO standards and requirements
- Bank reconciliations
Essential Skills & Experiences
- Relevant Degree in Accountings /Finance/ Tax; or currently undertaking CPA or CA
- 3+ years Tax Accounting experience
- Must have experience completing individual Tax returns
- Must have a reasonable understanding of ATO practices
- Exposure to the Quick Books software/ MYOB and Sage HandiSoft, Xero
- Must have a satisfactory understanding processing BAS's and company financials
- Understanding of accounting practices within a small/medium firm
- Intermediate Excel Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- A preference for consulting to your customers to build long term relationships, over a transactional one
- Must be a critical thinker
- A passion for service
- Motivation to develop and grow within a fast moving accounting practice
