Supply Chain Manager Full-time Job

CJ Patel (Pacific) Pte Limited (CJPP) is the commercial arm of the CJ Patel Group and one of Fiji’s largest distributors of locally manufactured and renowned international brands within Fiji and most of the Pacific. The Company has an extensive distribution network with major supermarkets, food service industries and down-the-line (DTL) retailers with its main warehouse in Wailekutu, Lami and supported by branch operations in Lautoka and Labasa and significant exports to other regional markets such as New Zealand, East Timor, Vanuatu, Kiribati, Tonga, Samoa and Papua New Guinea.

We are seeking to recruit dynamic, resourceful, and performance-oriented Supply Chain Manager to be based in our Head Office in Lami.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities:

Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain and Logistics, the successful incumbent will assist in managing day to day supply chain functions including the following:

• Plan, manage and coordinate activities related to the sourcing, procurement, and logistics to ensure optimal inventory levels and on time delivery.
• Carry out product costing and inventory and demand-supply planning.
• Maintain detailed records/data, generate and prepare reports and develop presentations for management decision making.
• Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain including addressing product life cycle.
• Carry out analysis of current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company.
• Inbound planning and identify optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to consolidation of warehousing and distribution.
• Communicate and negotiate with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies for better pricing, deals and service level.
• Monitor the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.
• Establish performance metrics, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain.
• Participate in product development and execution meetings, providing information and guidance on availability and cost of supplies and materials.
• Train, mentor and supervise junior staff within the department.

Experience and Attributes:

• Degree or Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or similar field.
• Minimum of three to five years’ experience as a supply chain manager or in a similar capacity.
• Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes and FMCG Industry.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Attention to detail, creative problem-solving and a strategic and analytical mind.
• Exceptional computer skills including MS Excel, Power BI etc.

Remuneration:

An attractive remuneration package including performance-based incentives and other fringe benefits will be offered to the incumbent based on calibre and experience.
