· Position is based in Suva
· Must have relevant certification
Responsibility
· Fabricate and weld steel
· High Pressure Pipeline Welding
· Follow blueprints to ensure exact specifications of out-put
· Produce strong, clean welds
· Test output to ensure strength and tolerance of Machining fabrication materials and components.
· Fitting, setting, and installing fabricated structures.
· Cutting and welding with a variety of processes.
· Metal forming, bending, and finishing.
· Repair, design, layout, and estimation. Welds
Requirements
· Certificate in Fabrication and Welding Practice or a Diploma in Fabrication and Welding Engineering.
· At least 3-5 years of work experience
· Prior experience welding, preferably in an engineering environment
· Familiarity with common welding tools and procedures, including Arc, MIG and TIG welding, metal fabricating, grinding, and finishing metals
· Ability to stand, crouch, and occasionally lift heavy equipment
· Blueprint reading and knowledge of common welding symbols
